I've been getting some lovely pictures of your DIY creations lately.
These last two make a nice contrast with each other, showing the range of invention that you clever people are capable of!
On the left is a stunning purple and gold Onbag Classic which was made for one Natural Mama's Forum member by her kind kind mother. You can read all about it here...
And on the right you'll see a lovely matched sling and bag in soft natural tones. I do love the action shots with the beautiful babies in them!
This sling/bag combo is both very beautiful and very practical - and really streamlines the whole bag-baby-sling look!

Guin's Amazing Slip-Cover idea!

Guin had two lovely scraps of print fabric that she wanted to make good use of so she asked us to come up with a way of making slip covers for the flap of her custom bag.
As you can see - the results are pretty impressive. The plain purple bag with purple taffeta lining is beautiful enough - but the slip-covers are both stunning.

I made a few mistakes, but overall I am happy with my outcome.
My straps are 20 inches shorter than you suggest, but I like them."
Nicole has chosen a really interesting dog print for the lining of her bag, and a nice soft blue for the outer fabric.

The print on this bag was designed in close consultation with Heather - by me!
We started with a virtual 'scrapbook' of the designs and motifs she liked, then I came up with a series of designs, tweaking them each time, until we had a pattern she was happy with. You can see the design process in more detail here. Note as well the rather snazzy new black Onbag Custom label!

This DIY Onbag has a flap made out of just the lining fabric - a nice floral print used with what looks like a denim outer fabric.

I knew this one would be lovely! Tulip print outer with turquoise slubby silk lining.
The silk lining is almost exactly the colour of the tulips on the outer fabric.
This is a very luxurious Onbag Baby!
I hope that Cindy loves her new bag.

This is Liz's new DIY Onbag - isn't it lovely!?
She's used black canvas for the outer and a lovely swirly white-on-black ironwork design for the lining... but here is the clever bit: she's lined most of the bag in plain black but 'tipped' the ends of the straps with patterned fabric.
