Jesca's Applique Onbag

Printer-friendly versionSend to friend

Jesca has been kind enough to send me these beautiful action shots of her DIY Onbag Classic.

She used a wool blend material for the outer bag, with a black acrylic lining. She says that the bag is 'a relatively heavy, but sturdy bag, good for daily use.'

Jesca added some lovely appliqué - four large and striking butterflies - one on the front, one on the back, and one on each strap.

She has also made some modifications to the design of the bag to suit her:
"I changed the size of the bag, it's 35 x 30cm. I didn't add the side pockets, but added a bigger pocket at the back of the bag. This one, and the inner back and outer front pocket are 32,5 x 25 cm. The inner front pocket has some volume, so that it is big enough to store two cotton diapers."

I think this is a very beautiful bag - and actually the fabric really reminds me of a Didymos Jim - the same feel of classy understatement. I'm sure a lot of people would like to know where she got that fabric!
